Hi, I'm Amy.
I'm a speaker, trainer, coach, author, wife, mum and proud Scot living in New Zealand — but the part of my story I'm most passionate about sharing isn't what I do. It's what I've lived.
My life has been full of chapters I could never have planned for.
...and moments when I genuinely had to find a way to put myself back together again.
There have been times when I've felt incredibly strong — and times when I barely recognised the person looking back at me.
But I'm still here.
And I've risen.
That's what Rise Up with Amy is about. It isn't about pretending life is easy or telling people to simply “think positive.” I don't believe in brushing over the hard stuff.
Sometimes life hurts. Sometimes we struggle. Sometimes we fall.
Rising is what happens next.
It's taking responsibility for the things we can change. It's doing the inner work. It's recognising the strength that can come through struggle. And ultimately, it's about becoming empowered to move forward in your own way.
Over more than 20 years of working with people, alongside everything life has taught me personally, I've developed a deep passion for helping others understand themselves, recognise their strengths and realise just how powerful they can be.
Today, I bring my lived and professional experience together through speaking, workshops, coaching and training — creating honest conversations about resilience, mental health, wellbeing and what it really means to rise after difficult times.
I don't stand in front of people because I have life figured out.
I stand there because I know what it feels like not to.
I know what it's like to fall.
I know what it's like to start again.
And I know that sometimes the smallest shift can be the beginning of something much bigger.
My story is still being written.
And maybe yours is too.
Whatever chapter you're in right now, you have the power to RISE.
Welcome to Rise Up with Amy.
